Social media workshops

P1040490We love social media, and we love sharing our passion with people, particularly in rural communities. Social media has so much potential to help rural communities bridge the consumer-producer divide, but only if people are actively participating. Our workshops are delivered in partnership with organisations who have appropriate facilities, ensuring at least one computer between two people and a mix of online time and interactive discussion around planning for strategic use of social media. We focus on how the power of social media can be harnessed for specific purposes, rather than personal networking and participants must have a general understanding of social media before joining us.

Governance workshops for busy volunteers

100_4642_sml

There’s something about governance that makes people groan, but we’ve found that with a little patience and a lot of interactivity, we can help committees and volunteers understand their roles and responsibilities in a casual and friendly way. Our governance workshops work by assessing people’s current levels of understanding and filling the gaps, offering practical examples, case studies and role plays to really get participants thinking about how importance good governance is.

Our workshops can be delivered as either full day or half day but must be booked in advance. Contact us for more information.

Grant writing workshops

P1100287_v3

Our Managing Director, Samantha Morris, has more than 20 years grant writing experience and has a knack for sifting through waffle to help build a strong funding proposal. Her workshops are highly interactive, very popular, and have taken place in every region of Queensland over the past 10 years. The workshops follow a logical process for planning and writing strong projects and strong applications. With tonnes of resource material, and phone support after the workshops, participants leave with much more confidence to get amongst it, sort out their project plans and secure money for their important community work.

Our grant writing workshops run from 9.30am – 3.00pm to accommodate school hours and are offered at a set delivery fee per workshop with travel expenses charged at cost on top. Contact us about availability and cost. We’d love to visit your community and help them whip their projects into shape.
